Supported devices to run Zwift

Device Requirements

When using Zwift on a computer, phone, tablet or Apple TV, all of the elements below matter, but the device’s Graphics card (also known as the GPU) can have a huge impact on how nice Zwift’s graphics are rendered and displayed on your screen.

Because both the graphics and the framerate are of the experience, you can image how this can impact performance. If possible, use your personal computer for Zwift to avoid running into issues with limited permissions and inability to write to folders that compromise performance.

Smartphones, tablets and streaming devices

Probably the biggest part uses a phone, tablet or something else than a computer for running Zwift. However supported hardware and software is limited to the following list.

AndroidAndroid 7.0 or higher
Arm64-v8a ABI (Arm64 arch)
1 Gig of RAM or more
OpenGL ES 3.0 or higher
If you’re not able to find Zwift in de Google Play store than your device is most likely not supported for running Zwift
iPhone SE, iPhone 5S or higher
iPod 6 or higher
iOS 9.0 or higher
iPad Air or higher
iPad Pro or higher
iPad mini 2 or higher
iOS 9.0 or higher
Apple TV4th gen or higher

Computer, laptop or gaming pc

And for those who want to use a PC (desktop or laptop) for running Zwift, there are some specs from Zwift that could help you out.

While laptops/macbooks can be used for running Zwift, they tend to perform a little worse than most desktop that have a dedicated graphic card. However some of the notebooks have a dedicated graphic card like the top of the line macbooks and gaming laptops.

Over at Zwift Insider they have a more in depth article about building a Zwift PC.
